Email - Digital Marketing Levels
We live in a time and era where technology has all but completely taken over. There isn’t much limitation anymore for reaching your “target audience(s)”. It’s all on you how you choose to determine your marketing strategies. You should make that determination based on what you are selling and what is the purpose and focus of your business. As you progress through this article (blog), email marketing and funnels, or conversion funnels will be addressed along the way.
I created a short video about driving traffic to your site, a while back along with blogs about SEO Development, and Social Media Marketing. So. what does this mean for your business and you? First, let’s backtrack a bit into driving traffic and SEO development; there are levels to this.
Once you complete a business startup, now you must build your brand and get your business noticed for what you are selling or providing. So, you create a website or even a Facebook business page. But how do you get people to notice that you have these assets added to your business structure? You should market yourself out to the appropriate audience that fits your line of business.
So how do you go about strategizing your marketing? Based on the plethora of options available, you must choose which options are right for your business. The grapevine is one of the oldest methods of marketing – word of mouth. Pass it along! Tell everyone that you can that you have started a new business and would like their support. Create fliers and pass them out. Create an internet marketing strategy for your business and products or services. Don’t stop! Your business is only as good as the energy you put into it.
So, now you are telling people about your business. Now, let’s get to the meat and potatoes of digital marketing! You create yourself a website or Facebook business page. How do you drive that traffic to your site? Create links and post them out on your social networks as much as possible, even if you don’t have anyone to help you. Get the word out! You want to create an interest to people about your business and what you plan on selling or providing to them. If there is no need, there is no gain.
So, what is SEO development? Search Engine Optimization is the act of setting key words and meta data that allows people to find your website and products in search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo. When you create your website, there are “web master” tools available to help you customize your website into search engines to be found. There are many ‘free’ resources available to assist you with your SEO development and marketing strategies that cost little to nothing.
Secondly: Social Media Marketing. How can you use social media marketing to benefit you and your business? Just about everyone uses some sort of social media platform. Facebook is one of the most used social media platforms in the world. It has great benefits for your marketing strategy. Creating a Facebook business page allows you to market out your business a lot faster. Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell anyone you know, “I can be found on Facebook”. This gives you leverage in your marketing strategy. It allows people to go see what your business is about, and what products or services you are providing.
Twitter is another social platform that can be used in your marketing strategy. You can create quick, short post with links included to your business website and other internet connections until you get your brand solidified. Understand, before you can sell anything you MUST build your brand. Determining which social platforms you use for your social media marketing strategy are necessary to how you create your conversion funnels. Conversion funnels are basically getting someone to do something that you want them to do to capture and close a sale for your business.
Finally! Email Marketing. Email marketing consists of creating emails that introduce people to your business, brand, services and products. You also create funnels to attract your customers to your services and products to get them to purchase from your business. Email marketing is not dead. It is a viable asset to your marketing strategy to be able to keep your current and potential customers aware of the developments or projects, promotions and discounts and other aspects of your business operations. Everyone is using email so there is no limit to who you can reach and how.
As I always say, be proactive and reactive in your marketing strategies while creating your conversion funnels. Test every theory possible to understand what works for your business and you.
Good luck, and have fun!
